Padok Pony Club: A journey leading to the love of nature and other living beings.
Padok Pony Club not only provides training in equestrian sport and horse care, but also enables children to benefit from the physical and psychological effects of the equestrian sport.
Children’s Programme: This programme is for children aged 8 to 12 years, they can have beginner lunge lessons. There are ponies available for lead reins – ten minute pony rides for those under 6 years old. Whilst from 6 years old they can have 20 minutes lunge lessons in the indoor arena.
With the help of our ponies, we aim to teach children everything from taking responsibility, empathy, self – confidence, teamwork, more responsible and sustainable behaviour in the future. Being around horses can give children a great understanding and respect for other living beings and nature.
What benefits do children get from horse riding?
Learning to ride requires coordination and balance which improves motor skills and body awareness.
Dealing with horses and riding requires courage, independence, self-esteem and empathy.
A positive impact on children’s physical, mental and emotional help.
As children learn to communicate with the horse, they gain a sense of mastery and control as well as respect for other living beings and nature.
